| We packed
to head towards Boston and on the way out of town we stopped at the
Aircraft Carrier & Museum Intrepid. We spent a couple of hours
touring planes, boats and simulators then hit the road. Back to the
wonderful traffic. It took us 2 ½ hours to move 12 mi and get
out of town. The first town we hoped to find accommodations in was
Bridgeport. As we wandered around looking for hotels the town was
looking pretty questionable. I saw a few guys down the road by a car
and headed down to see if they could point us in the right direction.
As I pulled up I realized that these guys were in colors (as in gang
colors) and not likely to be of much help. I asked if they could point
me to a decent part of town and the only reply I got was that they
thought my bike was decent and I decided to move on – quick.
We got back on the freeway and found a gas station where we were guided
to the local post road and the person helping insured me that it would
soon lead us to several great little coastal towns. Correctamundo.
We found a great little east coast beach and stopped for a brief walk
by the water then headed up the road to a little town named Milford
for the evening. We ordered pizza, sandwiches and salads and rested
for the next day. |
