Travel Highlights
We headed from Sunny Valley to Crater Lake to Eugene. Crater Lake was stunning and I had no clue that I would end up riding through the snow on this trip. We just passed by it but the other side of the lake, the closed side, still had 30 foot snow drifts. We spent about an hour walking around and exploring the lake views before heading towards Eugene. We got to Eugene and before we got a place to stay we went to the movies and saw Bruce Almighty. Very funny and a good break from the long ride. Then we went to find a hotel. Well between the Soccer events, the Frisbee competition and the graduations we could not get a decent place. We ended up in a motel that was very low in the standards category. The next day I decided it was a 20 room hotel that was a family home for a bunch of East Indians that rented it as a hotel just enough to keep the tax advantage. Oh well, it worked.
